Roberts masterfully crafts compelling relationship dynamics between the different characters, who have distinct personalities that leap off the pages. Cece is an overachiever yet she finds it difficult to navigate life in her new school as she deals with her new friends and classmates. The supernatural aspects were another one of the highlights for me. The cliffhanger toward the end will make readers even more eager to read the sequel. In conclusion, this is a fantastic mystery adventure for preteen readers.
